Impney Grange

This rather grand sounding name is a little incongruous - the Hill was never a Grange, and Impney is just outside Droitwich - no local connections at all, except that John Corbett, who donated the estate and the hospital bearing his name to the local people, had lived at Impney at some point in his life.

The site of the hospital had originally been purchased by David Payne Homes Ltd., who went into administration in February 2009, and the site was sold to David Wilson Homes.

David Wilson Homes began building homes on the site in January 2010, work started on the corner of Vicarage Road and John Corbett Drive, where they would attract the attention of the passing public, and act as show houses, although they were never open as such.
